Joplin is a secure, open-source note-taking and to-do application that can handle a large number of notes organized in notebooks. Notes are searchable, can be copied, bookmarked and modified. The Android app supports markdown rendering.

Note can be securely synced using Joplin Cloud so your notes are available on all your devices. It also allows you to post notes and collaborate on notebooks with your friends, family, or colleagues. Synchronization is secured using end-to-end encryption (E2EE).

In addition to Joplin Cloud, notes can be synced to your other services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Nextcloud, S3, or WebDAV. Desktop applications can be used to import Evenote notes via .enex files, including the formatted content (which is converted to markdown), resources (images, attachments, etc.) and complete metadata (geolocation, updated time, created time, etc.). These imported notes can be synced with the Android app.
