Kwartet Jaya is a comedy group that dominated performances in the 1970s. Formed by Bing Slamet in 1967 with Eddy Sudihardjo (Eddy Sud), Kho Tjeng Lie (Ateng) and Iskak Darmo Suwiryo (Iskak). Before Ateng joined, this group was called EBI: Eddy Sud, Bing, Iskak. Each member of Jaya Kwartet is not only participating and telling jokes, but each member has skills that other comedians do not have. In each of their performances, Kwartet Jaya is best known as a comedy group that often makes targeted social criticism and also has dialogue that tickles your stomach.
